What is the circumstances that led you to use our services?
Business relationship between Personnel Consultant began at local networking events about a decade ago. We are a law firm specializing in intellectual property based on the West Coast of the United States. However, we needed to expand into Asia.
We had already opened branches in Tokyo and Suzhou, but expanding into Thailand was a completely different experience and we had some difficulties.
The company president, Mr. Odahara, was actively interacting with the local Japanese people, which was very stimulating for me as someone who was working on my own.
What challenges did you have regarding recruitment (or other services)?
At that time, we were a Thai patent attorney, legal staff, and myself. From that, the business grew and we decided to consider hiring new law graduates as staff.
In an industry like ours, it’s difficult to find people who already have the expertise. Therefore, we decided to hire a new employee with legal knowledge. Also, since I can’t speak Thai, I needed someone who could speak English or Japanese.
They were able to accommodate such difficult requests.

Personnel Consultsnt is not only introduces human resources to us, but also takes care of us in various ways even after we have hired them. I was left with the impression that the people we hired went on training trips to Japan and were very happy to hear about their success. Recruiting and subsequently training employees in Thailand is not an easy task. Even at our company, which has employed Japanese, American, and Chinese people, we find it difficult to recruit and train Thai people. With the support of Personnel, we would like to continue expanding our business in Thailand.
