What is the circumstances that led you to use our services?
The first encounter with a Personnel Consultant was in 2015, when we were able to begin the actual business activities after our company was established (registered). At the seminar at a certain bank, we exchanged business cards and greeted President Odahara. This was the trigger. At that time, even though we explained that the business had just started and the human resource requirements were inadequate, they immediately dispatched a sales representative the following week, and we have been working with them ever since. In addition to the speed of response and support, there was a fortunate coincidence that who was in person in charge graduated from school which is close so me so I could rapport immediately. We was guided in selecting the specifications for Thai human resources but also provided valuable insights into the characteristics and recruitment methods specific to Thai people. Thanks to their guidance, we were able to establish a solid foundation for recruitment practices in Thailand.
What challenges did you have regarding recruitment (or other services)?
As mentioned above, at that time, the questions were: (1) what kind of work, (2) who should do it, and (3) how could it be divided? On top of that, there is a lack of standards within our company such as salaries and benefits for each specification, and a person consultant conducts a survey every year called “Japanese Companies in Thailand – Salary and Benefits Data.” We worked together with the person in charge to solidify the basics by referring to information such as Yahoo! and e-mail newsletters. Even though we have solidified our foundation, there are conditions such as the nature of our business (we are a “weight shop”, which is unfamiliar to most people) and our location (Pingtong Industrial Park 1), so it is difficult for job seekers to apply for our company. Through the patient efforts of not only our sales staff but also our full-time consultants, we were able to research and recruit job seekers, and we were able to successfully hire them.
Please tell us what you liked about using our services
For our newly established company, the Personnel Consultant’s role went beyond that of a mere recruitment agency. They provided invaluable information encompassing various aspects such as the talent market in Thailand, the current job market situation, and the overall economic conditions in Thailand. We felt immensely supported by this wealth of information and we continue to value their insights to this day. Since the establishment in 1994, I feel that sharing information and development between President Odahara and Japanese and Thai staff is a gift and I also remember that I was impressed by the good company culture when I asked visited Personnel Consultant. For our company, Personnel Consultant represents not just a reliable recruitment agency but also serves as a significant guidance for Japanese companies operating businesses in Thailand.
What do you expect from our services in the future?
We consider the Personnel Consultant as a crucial beacon for Japanese companies venturing into Thailand, guiding the way for business expansion and talent development in the country. Companies that share a deep relationship with the Personnel Consultant and President Odahara inherently hold a shared belief in bringing happiness to everyone they engage with, always with a smile. We would like to ask you to provide us with the opportunity to build a collaborative relationship that can contribute to the Kingdom of Thailand and the Thai people by increasing the presence of Japanese companies that have expanded into Thailand and are thriving in Thailand, beyond the framework of human resource recruitment and training.
